Inspiration for the dubby, teched out soul of Tom Lennox’s latest work is taken from the EPs namesake, Northern Soul, arguably the mostimportant musical movement in UKclub culture.
The EP’s title track offers up a slab of deep, dark soultechelectronica. It’s beautifully produced, dubby hypnotic groove never fails todraw a crowd to the dancefloor and into the arms of its other worldy charms.
10243 hits darker notes, with a simple yet devastatinglyeffective groove designed to get the dancefloor digging deep for more. Hacksawtake 10243 to another level with a dub step meets techno interpretation that sticksfirmly to its dark origins.
Square one finishes off a top quality package with astripped back percussive groove and a dubby element that makes this track a perfect warm up tool.
Northern Soul EP is aimed squarely at the underground, armedwith soulful undertones and dark, dubby grooves that pack punches designed toknock out even the most discerning of dancefloors.
